Mi primera antotipia

Esta fue la primera antotipia que realicé allá por el verano de 2017 a partir de una imagen encontrada en un mercado de un pueblo próximo a Fez (Marruecos) situado en la zona oriental de la meseta del Sais, a 500 metros de altitud, en el corredor de las rutas de Taza- Oujda al este, el Rif, al norte, el Atlas y el Sáhara al sur  y la costa Atlántica al oeste. Recuerdo haber reutilizado las remolachas que habíamos comprado en el mercado para hacer las ensaladas. Tenía instalado un espacio de trabajo en la azotea de una antigua casa situada en la medina. Reutilicé un marco antiguo y unos folios que reciclé de una papelería. No tenía ni idea de qué saldría ni de cuánto tiempo tendría que estar expuesta. Estábamos a más de 40 grados de temperatura y en poco menos de 2 horas ya tuve este primer resultado. La mirada de aquella mujer antigua me hipnotizó. En aquel momento entendía que mi práctica fotográfica ya no sería la misma. Que empezaría un camino hacia algún lugar, que sin saber dónde, supe que sería alrededor del Mediterráneo.

MY FIRST ANTOTYPE

This was the first antotype I made back in the summer of 2017 from an image found in a market in a town near Fez (Morocco) located in the eastern area of ​​the Sais plateau, 500 meters above sea level, in the Taza-Oujda routes corridor to the east, the Rif to the north, the Atlas and Sahara to the south and the Atlantic coast to the west. I remember having reused the beets that we had bought in the market to make the salads. I had a workspace installed on the roof of an old house in the medina. I reused an old frame and some papers that I recycled from a stationery store. I had no idea what would come out or how long it would have to be exposed. We were at over 40 degrees temperature and in just under 2 hours I had this first result. The look of that ancient woman hypnotized me. At that time I understood that my photographic practice would no longer be the same. That I would start a path to somewhere, that without knowing where, I knew it would be around the Mediterranean.
